Our top priorities for your neighbourhood are as follows:
Traffic Related Offences
You Said: 12 Jan 2012
Concerns were raised at the last PACT meeting on 7th of January 2011 of various Traffic related Offences.
1. Speeding Vehicles.
2. Use of Mobile telephones whilst driving.
3. Inconsiderate Parking ie; Obstructions, Pavement Parking & Failure to Comply with Parking Restrictions.
So far we have:
Your Neighbourhood Police Team are Taking Action over Speeding Vehicles we continue to utilise our Speed Gun and several dozen Prosecutions for Speeding Offences have been undertaken.
We also endevour to Educate drivers over the dangers of Speed, in paticular outside our local Schools.
Targeted Police Operations are also carried out to prosecute drivers who continue to use drive while using a mobile telephone, almost 60 Prosecutions have taken place so far this year.
Obstructions are dealt with by way of a £30 fixed penalty ticket, also police have Powers to remove vehicles that obstruct the free flow of Traffic.
Any Vehicles that park partially or wholly on pavements are also given fixed penalty tickets or again can be towed away.
Cornwall Council Civil Enforcement Officers (Traffic Warden) are also targetting vehicles and drivers who choose to ignore parking restictions ie double yellow lines and limited waiting bays.

Police Patrol outside the junior school giving advice to motorists and two press releases highlighting the issues of inconsiderate parking. This in turn could endanger the lives of school children. Positive from parents and school staff.

Dog Fouling
You Said: 12 Jan 2012
Irresponsible Dog owners continue to allow their dogs to Foul pavements and public areas.
If you see or know someone that allows dogs to foul streets in your area then please in form the local Dog Warden on 0300 1234100, so action can be taken.
So far we have:
Enforcement patrols are conducted by the local dog warden, also reminder stickers reminding people of the possibility of recieving a fine of £80 have been placed in Dog Fouling problem Areas.

St Just Bus Shelter
You Said: 12 Jan 2012
Several Residents of St Just have expressed concerns over youths, who are using the Bus Shelter in Lafrowda Close as a meeting area, and being involved in Anti Social Behaviour in that Area.
