We all work together as a Neighbourhood Team to tackle any issue that you, the community, bring to our attention.

I look forward to hearing from you concerning any issues in the community you may have.

Active Priorities

Our top priorities for your neighbourhood are as follows:

Anti Social Behaviour

You Said: 12 Jul 2010

Reduce Anti Social behaviour.

the public of brixham was surveyed during the months of November and December 2009 and they stated their wish that Police prioritise their work to reduce Anti Social Behaviourat Brixham.

This priority wass confirmed at the meeting of the Brixham Community Partnership in Brixham. Work will continue with regard to affective engagement with young persons and supporting diversionary activities for them. We will also be enforcing relevant powers and laws and providing High Visibility policing at any ASB hotspots that are identified to us in the course of the year.

So far we have:

On Tuesday 26th january the Police / Safer Communities Torbay and other agenciesvisited Brixham College and presented a 'YOU SAID WE DID' event to approximately 80 pupils of various ages. This was very well received and informative regarding ASB issues. Regular foot patrols have been conducted in and round the Furzeham and Town Cenytre area. Two Problem Solving plans (PSP's) have been set up in Higher Street and Cumberland Greento combat ASB. This being the corridor from the town centre up to Furzeham. we have managed to secure the mobile CCTV camera, which is now in position in Cumberland Green. Also we have managed to get the council to agree to install new lighting in the foot path leading from South Furzeham Road to Cumber Close. All this to reduce ASB in the area. A Problem Solving Plan has been raised for the area of Battery Gardens. Increased patrols will be conducted in that area to tackle the reports of ASBand Criminal Damage.

On 19/05/10 officers partolled the area of Battery Gardens. nothing to report. Foot patrols conducted at Battery Gardens on the night of 26th June 2010, nothing to report,no youths present.

Reduce the supply of controlled drugs in Brixham.

You Said: 12 Jul 2010

As a result of surveying the public during bthe months of November and Decmber 2009, it was clearly a public priority that Brixham Police deal withissues surrounding controlled drugs in Brixham.

Redcue Speeding

The priority to reduce offences of speeding was a 2009 priority, but has clearly been identified by the public as a continuing issue they wish the police in Brixham to prioritise through 2010.
